TUESDAY KNOCKOUT CUP, 2008-09   The format for this year's cup was - 5 singles frames, as per league matches. Matches handicapped per frame, with the handicaps per frame shown in brackets below. Congratulations to Trecenydd who made up a little for their league disappointment by winning the Tuesday Cup final, 3-1 against shock finalists University 'A'. The students did in fact take the lead with Kieran Baxter beating Huw Carpenter (in his last game for Trecenydd). Jak Jones then hit a superb 91 clearance against Ben Chung to draw Trecenydd level. In the third frame Dave Blake was 24 up against Jon Dobson with just 18 left, but Dobson got the two snookers and gave Trecenydd the lead. Shaun Wicks then clinched the cup by beating Layton Brooks on the blue.
