| About
the committee....The Cardiff and
District Snooker Association committee is elected
annually at the league AGM. The key positions are
Chairman, Treasurer, League Secretary
(concentrating on league results) and Tournament
Secretary (for singles and doubles). The
positions mainly involve attending league
meetings once a month and obviously each position
has its specific tasks. We are always
looking for fresh faces and new blood on the
committee (particularly from the Thursday League)
so please put your name forward at any
time if you are interested in being proposed onto
the committee for the next season. The positions
are rewarding, do not take up too much time, and
at the end of the season an honourarium of a few
quid is provided for your efforts. Coaching...The Welsh Bililards & Snooker Coaching Foundation are looking to recruit more coaches. If you think you have the ability to pass on your snooker skills, experience and knowledge please contact John Dobson on 029 20860241 for details of how you could become an official Welsh Association coach (with thanks to John for sending it in). |

.If you wish to register teams for the 2008-09 Cardiff and District Snooker League the registration form is available to download here (xls spreadsheet). Steve Wellbeloved will be at the Mackintosh on the following Sundays: Aug 10th, Aug 17th, Aug 24th from 8.30pm to collect registrations. Payment MUST be made to Steve no later than Sun 24th August 2008, otherwise we cannot guarantee an available position. Regular league meetings League meetings will in general be held on Sundays at 7.30pm in the Mackintosh Sports Club on the first Sunday of every month. Except when it is a bank holiday whereby the meeting will be held on the 2nd Sunday of that month. Either the club delegate or any team member can attend to represent their club. This is not compulsory unless you have a dispute to be settled. The 2006 Cardiff & District Snooker Association Annual General Meeting was held at Mackintosh at 7.30pm on June 12th.
