Tournament co-organiser Andy Davis with 12 year-old son Carl, one of the finds of the season. Andy and Martin Cavanagh did a great job in organising the event so thanks to them both. Nathan Biggs made the highest break in the qualifiers on Tuesday night with a 91 in the preliminary round, but bowed out to Craig Davis in the last 32

Martin Cavanagh and James Llewellyn in the early stages of the longest match of the night. Entrants for the Thursday half of the draw were already arriving by the time this marathon ended with a James win. Veteran committee member Steve Wellbeloved after knocking Carl Davis out of the Open. And he's got a dodgy elbow apparantely.

Mark Davies from the University had to beat the cream of Llandaff to reach the last 16 before losing to Jason Hewitt. You will notice that he is playing a baulk colour before breaking off, which may bethe reason he lost. The Voice of Snooker. BBC TV commentator Geraint Jones was lost without Dominic Dale's words of advice and found himself speechless as he joined the long list of Llandaff giants knocked out by the University's Mark Davies.

Nigel 'Blackadder' Blackwell sportingly reminds Wayne Hatton of the score of their recently completed match. Which Nigel won. Wayne's dad does not look impressed. Spencer Symmons wins the cheesiest photo award hands down as he shakes hands with Nigel before what was the most exciting match of the night. Unluckily for Nigel, he was one ball away from knocking out Spencer 2-0 after a great performance.
